Karl Egloff made the right decision on Mount Everest. Shortly before reaching Camp 3 at an altitude of 7,000 meters, the Swiss-Ecuadorian dual citizen decided to abandon his project to climb Mount Everest without oxygen. “It was a gut decision,” Karl said the following morning.
